2 Chronicles 7:18-20

¹⁸ then I will establish the throne of your kingdom as I promised^[a] to David your father, saying, ‘A man shall not be cut off for you from ruling over Israel.’

¹⁹ “But if you turn yourselves away and forsake my ordinances and my commandments which I have given before you all and will go and serve other gods and bow down to them, ²⁰ then I will uproot them from upon my land that I have given to them, and this house that I have consecrated for my name I will send away from before my face, and I will make it a proverb and a taunt among all the nations.
